What is the Diamond Challenge?

The Diamond Challenge is a top-rated high school organization established in 2012 with the goal of empowering the next generation through entrepreneurship.

The Diamond Challenge has provided students from all around the world with resources, meaningful connections, as well as “transformative” feedback in their entrepreneurial endeavors, encouraging students to be entrepreneurial in whatever career path they may choose.

What the Diamond Challenge Provides

The Diamond Challenge provides students with digital, entrepreneurial-based curriculum, summits, and competitions!

The Diamond Challenge curriculum provides a methodical approach to entrepreneurship, starting from the definition of entrepreneurship to building a business model and actually making money. Check out their curriculum on their website to learn in depth!

The Diamond Challenge hosts a yearly competition as a platform for students to utilize to present their ideas and receive feedback from judges, while competing with their peers. The organization awards cash prize incentives — yes, you heard that right! — to the top three places of the competition, funding their ideas and higher education scholarships.

The Diamond Challenge Summit is an annual three-day summer conference where students, who have advanced to the final stages of the competition, as well as educators from around the world will deepen their understanding of entrepreneurship, by developing beyond-price skills. With speakers of immense entrepreneurial backgrounds and influential group collaborations, students will forge life-long skills that they can apply to their lives.

Important Details about Diamond Challenge

The Diamond Challenge is open to high school students between the ages of 14-18, so you must be enrolled in high school during the duration of the competition.

Submissions to the Diamond Challenge will open in the late summer/early fall, and will close in the winter. The link to submit an idea is located on Diamond Challenge’s website, where you will use their competition management software, Award Force. They have allocated a recommended time frame of 10 weeks to come up with an idea, create a written concept of your idea, and a pitch deck, or a brief presentation.

After you submit these items to their website, you may be invited to the “pitching” round in the following months and later on to the semi finals rounds! If you progress to the finals, you will then continue on to Diamond Challenge’s three-day-long summit at the University of Delaware, where there will be impressionable mentors, speakers, workshops, exhibitors and more for you to engage with! At the summit, you will meet with finalists and nominated groups from around the world.

If you are wondering about the price points, registering and submitting an idea to Diamond is free of cost, so don’t hesitate to submit your awesome, well-thought out ideas!
