This new exciting Cluster was inspired by the success of the Script Institute of Oceanography and UCSD’s Hacking for the Oceans graduate and undergraduate level class. Students will incorporate engineering theory and good practice in the development of affordable instrumentation and robotic devices by inventing and or adopting new technologies to monitor, generate and analyze data for our oceans on a scale. Projects include developing an Unmanned Water Autonomous Vehicle (UAV) and using software to control an autonomous surface roboboat.
