  1. UChicago Summer Immersion Programs for Pre-College Students

    The UChicago Summer Immersion Program is designed for students who are interested in exploring the humanities and social sciences. Students take courses, attend lectures, and participate in cultural activities such as museum visits and theater performances.

  2. UChicago Research in the Biological Sciences (RIBS)

    This program offers a unique opportunity for high school students to conduct research in a lab alongside university faculty and graduate students. Students can choose from several research projects in fields such as genetics, neuroscience, and ecology.

  3. UChicago Pre-College Summer Language Institute

    The Pre-College Summer Language Institute at UChicago is designed for students who are interested in learning a new language or improving their language skills. Students can choose from courses in over 10 different languages, including Arabic, Chinese, French, and Spanish.

  4. UChicago Stones and Bones

    Stones and Bones is a paleontology program at UChicago for high school students interested in learning how fossils are collected, analyzed, and conserved. Students will study basic geology, evolutionary biology, and more, doing hands-on research in Chicago and Wyoming. The program is led by the Field Museum’s Distinguished Service Curator, Lance Grande.

  5. UChicago College Bridge Program

    The College Bridge Program offers academically advanced high school students from the Chicago Public School system the chance to pursue undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago. The Summer Bridge program, on the other hand, offers intensive academic programs specifically designed for academically ambitious high school students from around the world who are prepared to study at the undergraduate level. Alternatively, students may opt for special intensive language courses that cover a full year of language learning in just nine weeks.

  6. AI Scholars

    For students who are unable to travel to UChicago and are seeking a fulfilling summer experience taught by graduate students and alumni from top universities, consider Inspirit AI, a live online AI-project building class in which students will learn about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing applications. The program offers rigorous discussion-based classes, readings, lectures, and collaborative hands-on projects, all designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle pressing issues in climate and energy. Leading faculty members from the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC), the Becker Friedman Institute, and the Climate Impact Lab will guide students through the program, ensuring a rich and engaging learning experience.
