How to Apply

If you have made it to this point, congratulations on taking the first step in becoming involved in the world of AI. Applications are not open yet, but the applications for the 2024 year open on January 16, 2024, so keep an eye out!

First, make sure you have all of the required materials ready. You will likely have to submit a transcript, extracurriculars, family information, and personal information. You will also need a personal statement and letters of recommendation. Be sure to have a few teachers in mind who you can approach and request a letter of recommendation from.

When it comes to a personal statement, the biggest edge you can have on your application, is just be yourself. Let your personality show through your statements and application! Make sure to connect your passion for AI to something in your personal life, in order to give admissions officers an example of why you are interested in AI in the first place.

Spend time on your application. Do not rush through questions and be in a hurry to submit your application. Take your time and make sure that the application you end up submitting is thoughtful, detailed, and strong. Highlight your commitment to AI and what you bring to the table. Stanford AI 4All values diversity and teamwork, so you must show that you are a team player and have something unique about yourself!

Do not feel discouraged. This program is a competitive one, and there is no doubt that some applications will be rejected even though they were very strong. Even if you do not get into this program, explore other ways to get involved in AI, and do not feel discouraged! Not being accepted into Stanford Ai 4All does not mean you are not fit to learn about it.
