    The Berkeley Business Academy for Youth (B-BAY) is a summer program for high school students interested in entrepreneurship and business. B-BAY provides participants with an opportunity to learn from renowned faculty, engage in hands-on activities, and develop skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership. The program also includes company visits and guest speakers from various industries.

  2. Berkeley Pre-College Scholars: Summer Residential Track

    UC Berkeley Summer Sessions offer high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses and earn credits towards their future academic pursuits. As a residential student, you will get to experience college life firsthand on Berkeley’s campus.

  3. Berkeley Pre-College Scholars: Summer Virtual Track

    If you aren’t able to travel to Berkeley this summer, consider joining their virtual pre-college program! As a virtual student, you will receive all the benefits of learning with and from Berkeley faculty, staff, and students. Take college-level courses in a variety of disciplines. There are also a variety of optional extracurricular online activities to get to know your classmates outside of school.

  4. Berkeley embARC Summer Design Academy

    The Embarc Summer Design Academy is a 4-week program that introduces high school students to the field of architecture and design. Hosted by the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley, this program provides a hands-on experience in design, drawing, and model-making, and encourages students to think critically and creatively about the built environment. Students will have the opportunity to work with experienced faculty and professionals, visit architecture firms and design studios, and present their final projects to a panel of industry experts.

  5. Berkeley Changemaker®

    Berkeley Changemaker is a non-credit summer program designed for high school students who are passionate about making positive social change. Through hands-on activities, workshops, and mentorship, students will gain the knowledge and tools to become changemakers in their own communities.

    For students who may not be able to travel to UC Berkeley and are seeking a fulfilling summer experience taught by graduate students and alumni from top universities, consider Inspirit AI, a live online AI-project building class in which students will learn about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing applications.   8. Berkeley Pre-College Scholars: Commuter Track

    Similar to the residential track of the UC Berkeley Summer Session, the commuter track gives high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses and earn credits towards their future academic pursuits. The program provides students with an opportunity to experience college life, engage in research, and develop their academic skills. Students who live near UC Berkeley can participate in the program by commuting to class, rather than living on campus.
