    Summer Scholars offers a unique opportunity for students to spend two weeks on the Notre Dame campus, taking a challenging college-level course instructed by Notre Dame faculty. With small class sizes, students receive personal attention and guidance from faculty members throughout their coursework, which offers a genuine preview of college academics. The program is both rigorous and rewarding, and students can earn one transferable college credit upon completion of a program track. Students are encouraged to collaborate on coursework outside of designated class times, much like in any college setting, and have ample opportunity to experience the social facets of college life, particularly those unique to Notre Dame.   2. University of Notre Dame Summer Scholars: Online

    If you aren’t able to visit Notre Dame this summer, consider joining Summer Scholars Online! This two-week virtual program introduces students to college-level academics in a diverse range of fields, and upon completion, students will earn one transferable college credit. Collaborating on coursework with peers from around the world is a key aspect of the program with opportunities to engage during and outside of class times.

  3. University of Notre Dame Leadership Seminars

    For students who demonstrate exceptional leadership in their communities, Notre Dame offers the highly selective Leadership Seminars program, which is a 10-day program held on the university's campus. Only around 100 students are admitted to the program each year, and upon completion, students are eligible to receive one transferable college credit. The University covers the cost of tuition, housing, and meals for all students who are admitted to Leadership Seminars.

  4. Notre Dame Pre College Study Abroad

    “Go further, dream bigger” with Notre Dame’s study abroad pre college programs. As part of the program, students can choose to travel to Italy, Ireland, South Africa, or London. No matter which location you choose, these study abroad programs are a unique opportunity to explore the world, guided by Notre Dame faculty.   5. Notre Dame Confront Poverty: Bringing Service to Justice

    In this interdisciplinary course, students will examine poverty to gain insights into the factors that sustain it and those that combat it. Through a range of approaches and mindsets, including sustainability, social entrepreneurship, economics, and creative writing, students will explore different methods for comprehending, representing, and evaluating poverty. In addition to theoretical discussions, students will actively engage with the South Bend community to better understand the persistence of poverty and efforts to combat it. Lastly, students will also connect with community leaders who work to alleviate poverty and serve local residents experiencing poverty.

  6. AI Scholars

    For students who may not be able to travel to Notre Dame and are seeking a fulfilling summer experience taught by graduate students and alumni from top universities, consider Inspirit AI, a live online AI-project building class in which students will learn about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing applications.   7. Notre Dame Christianity and the World Religions

    In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamental teachings and spiritualities of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam and how they relate to Christianity. The course will approach these religions from historical and theological perspectives, seeking to determine the points of convergence and divergence from Christianity on topics such as death, self-identity, the meaning and ultimate goal of life, the nature of the ultimate Mystery, the overcoming of suffering, and other important subjects.

  8. Notre Dame Entrepreneurial Immersion

    During the Notre Dame Entrepreneurial Immersion program, students will learn about social impact businesses through the lens of Google Ventures’ Design Sprint process. In this project-based course, students will develop early-stage concepts, test customer interest, and learn how to pitch their ideas to potential investors.
