  1. Summer@Brown

    Summer@Brown is a one- to six-week residential program that allows high school students to choose from over 200 courses in various disciplines, including art, engineering, and economics. Students will learn how to balance engaging, ungraded academic courses with exciting social activities. In particular, as an Ivy League institution, Brown is known for empowering student voices and cultivating independent thinkers.

  2. Summer@Brown Online

    If you are unable to travel to Brown — or prefer an online summer program — Summer@Brown Online may be the perfect choice for you. Summer@Brown Online allows high school students to choose from over 80 courses across disciplines. Students can also choose a learning format that works best for them: asynchronous, mostly asynchronous or blended online.

  3. Brown Leadership Institute

    Brown Leadership Institute is a two-week on campus program (or four-week online program) that focuses on developing leadership skills through workshops, group projects, and meetings with industry professionals. Past program offerings have consisted of courses titled: Women and Leadership; More than a Game: Leadership and Social Change in Sports; Leadership, Law and Social Movements; Leadership and Intercultural Communication; Leadership in Changing Business: Social Entrepreneurship; Leadership and Global Health.

  4. Brown Environmental Leadership Lab (BELL)

    Brown Environmental Leadership Lab is a two-week program that immerses students in the study of environmental issues and challenges them to design and implement a sustainability project in their own community. At BELL, students become socially responsible leaders and environmentalists.

  5. Brown Pre-Baccalaureate Program

    The Brown Pre-Baccalaureate Program is a highly selective program for rising seniors or newly graduated high school students to take college-level courses for credit and receive mentoring from Brown faculty members. This program is a seven-week program that offers Brown Undergraduate Summer Session courses online.

  6. AI SCHOLARS

    For students who may not be able to travel to Brown and are seeking a fulfilling summer experience, consider Inspirit AI, a live online AI-project building class in which students will learn about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing applications.   7. Brown Experiential Education (BEE)

    In the Brown Experiential Education programs, high school students will immerse themselves in both their studies and their surrounding environments. Students will explore new places and consider new perspectives in order to better understand the interconnectedness of the global community.   8. Brown STEM for Rising 9th and 10th Graders

    This precollege program exposes high school students to the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on projects and interactive lectures in a two-week intensive format.
