Experience life as an NYU student during the summer. NYU Precollege is a six-week program that allows you to earn college credits, interact with NYU professors and peers, and explore your interests. As a Precollege participant, you will be fully integrated into the NYU community, with access to the school's distinctive resources, supportive environment, and global network. Whether you have a clear idea of your intended major or wish to explore a new subject area, NYU Precollege provides an excellent opportunity to develop your abilities and readiness for college.
NYU Tisch Summer High School Program
The Tisch Summer High School Program is a fee-based initiative that culminates in the acquisition of four to six college credits. The program focuses on projects, professional instruction, and teamwork, and is modeled after the Tisch undergraduate curriculum. Students who participate in the Tisch Summer High School Program are required to fulfill the academic and professional training obligations of their selected artistic concentration. The program provides seven artistic tracks to choose from: Dance, Drama, Production & Design, Dramatic Writing, Game Design, Photography and Imaging, or Recorded Music. High school sophomores and juniors from any part of the world are eligible to apply to this summer program.

NYU High School Summer Art Intensive
Elevate your artistic expertise, augment your artistic portfolio, and delve into college-level studio and fine arts academics instructed by NYU Steinhardt's Art Department faculty. In this 4-week summer program, a tightly-knit group of high school artists will sharpen their craft in three distinct studio art fields: digital art, painting, and sculpture. Under the guidance of NYU instructors, students will advance their artistic skills, produce ambitious creations, and gain knowledge about the contemporary art scene in New York.
NYU Applied Research Innovations in Science and Engineering (ARISE)
The ARISE program offers students in New York City an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rigorous laboratory environment, mentored by some of NYU's top research faculty. This 7-week full-day summer program is held on-site at both the Tandon and Washington Square campuses, and is specifically designed for those with a strong interest in pursuing a career in STEM fields. Throughout the program, students receive training in college-level research, expository writing, scientific methods, professional development, and ethics, culminating in a professional poster presentation and colloquium.

NYU Tisch Summer Game Design Program
The Tisch Summer Game Design Program is a month-long residential program that provides college credit. Students will gain proficiency in both the creative and technical aspects of digital game development through a hands-on teaching method, covering various skills and disciplines integral to contemporary game creation, including game design, programming, visual art, animation, sound design, and writing. The NYU Game Center is committed to exploring games as a cultural art form and game design as a creative discipline, and this exceptional program aims to cultivate a new crop of game designers, developers, and entrepreneurs. Participants are required to take three 2-credit courses, including Game Literacy, Game Design Workshop, and Game Development Workshop.
AI Scholars
For students who may not be able to travel to NYU and are seeking a fulfilling summer experience, consider Inspirit AI, a live online AI-project building class in which students will learn about the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and its ever-growing applications. NYU Design, Invent & Innovate (DII) Program
The summer program will equip students with the ability to use rapid prototyping tools and computer-aided design (CAD) modeling, perform field research to identify issues, and gain firsthand experience creating solutions using NYU Tandon's Makerspace. The program aims to impart to students not only practical engineering skills but also an innovative framework that can be applied to various projects in college and beyond. The College Access Leadership Institute (CALI) is a summer program aimed at guiding high school juniors and seniors as they navigate the intricacies of college admissions.
