Well, there are many benefits. One of the most important is that the starting a club in high school allows you to explore your interests while having a leadership role. In addition, you will definitely meet new people and likely boost your self-esteem, as well as give yourself a good break from classes and homework. Essentially, starting a club lets you pursue an activity that is special to you, whether it be coding, dance, music, or something else. Finally, it helps build key communication and leadership skills that you will use throughout your future.
What should my club be about?
The next step is to figure out what your club should be about. If you already know, that’s great! But if you don’t, think about what you enjoy doing and what your school lacks. Once you figure that out, ask your counselor if that club already exists. If it doesn’t, then great, we can start setting up our club!

How to Gain Club Members
Start with just telling your friends and peers about a fantastic club that you are starting. Creating flyers is another amazing and effective way to get members. Create a flyer with an attractive look stating the time, date, club name, and more. A good idea is to have a colorful flyer with pictures of your club focus. Post these around the school with the school’s permission, of course. Hopefully, these will catch some passerby’s eyes who might interested in joining your club. If you have social media, posting a digital version of these flyers can reach many people and encourage more members to come to your club.
